Welcome
Welcome to the Diamond Bar Book Club! We started our book club several months ago but with members moving to other locations we decided to create a blog where everyone can be involved no matter where they live. Our first book was The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale. The second book was The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Our next book is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Please feel free to comment at any time during the reading and of course we are always taking suggestions. Have fun reading!!!!

the whole series of goose girl is awesome! i just finished the fourth one (thanks for letting me borrow them carly!). the hunger games and catching fire are both page turners and i can't wait for mocking jay this summer!

The main idea I got from The Goose Girl series is the importance of balance in our lives. The gospel teaches this but it is neat to see how the characters of the books put it to practice. Balance became the difference of life and death.

ReplyDeleteit was interesting to see the characters from their own point of view, and then how others see them too in each different book. such a cool idea of the author to do that!the eragon books do that too.
Thanks for putting this site together Carly! I just ordered this months book and I can't wait to read it! I really loved the first two books and Catching Fire (of course I had to read it!) I'm in the middle of Princess Academy but it sounds like I need to go back and read the other books in the Goose Girl series.
