August's unofficial book choice

I am pretty sure we all read Mockingjay this month.  I have to say I loved it and loved the ending.  I always wanted Katniss to end up with Peeta.  His love for her was unconditional.  What did you think?  Also, why do you think she killed Coin instead of Snow?

Taking time out for Bree Tanner

I stopped reading The Book Thief to read The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephenie Meyers. ( It was a quick read only 2 hours) Soo Awesome. I would think to be the last vampire left to be killed by the Cullens you would have to be smart and she was. I really enjoyed seeing what was happening with the newborns. The most surprising element of the book was the visit of the Volturi to Victoria a week before the fight. Interesting! Puts a whole new spin on Breaking Dawn.

The Book Thief

Just bought the last copy of The Book Thief last night at Target. It has started very interesting. Think I know whose point of view it is written in! What do you think? Who is I?

Welcome to the Diamond Bar Book Club! We started our book club several months ago but with members moving to other locations we decided to create a blog where everyone can be involved no matter where they live. Our first book was The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale. The second book was The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Our next book is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
